Versachem Stone Chip Repair Kit for Windshields and Headlights

  • Specially designed to permanently repair minor chips and cracks on windshields and headlight covers caused by stones and debris.
  • Contains professional-grade components similar to those used in service centers, ensuring high-quality repairs.
  • Ideal for small damage such as "bullseye" or "star" chips up to 3 cm in diameter. Not suitable for long "spider" cracks.
  • Easy to use with detailed step-by-step instructions.

How to Use:

  1. Kit includes UV-sensitive resin. Apply in a shaded area, then place in sunlight for curing.
  2. Ensure the windshield is at room temperature. Depending on the season, use heating or air conditioning to reach the correct temperature before starting.
  3. Wear protective gloves and goggles. Cover the hood to prevent resin from dripping onto painted surfaces. You will also need a sharp blade and a needle.
  4. Instructions:
    1. Remove any loose glass fragments from the chip using a needle. Clean and dry the area with a clean cloth or paper towel.
    2. Peel the backing from one side of the adhesive disc and place it over the chip, ensuring the center hole aligns with the damage. Press firmly for a good seal.
    3. Remove the top film and firmly attach the plastic applicator to the adhesive disc, making sure they are aligned.
    4. Remove the cap and snip the tip of the resin tube. Insert the tube into the applicator and gently squeeze to fill the damage, avoiding leaks. Seal the tube for later use.
    5. Insert the syringe into the applicator, pull the plunger and lock it in the lower notch. Leave for 10 minutes.
    6. Release the syringe briefly, then press and lock in the upper notch. Leave for 20 minutes.
    7. Remove the syringe and carefully lift the adhesive disc and applicator from the glass using a sharp blade. Slowly peel off the entire disc. Wipe away excess resin.
    8. Add 1-2 drops of resin to the center of the repair and cover with the supplied curing film. Use the blade to push out any bubbles. Place the car in direct sunlight and allow to cure for 15-60 minutes, depending on sunlight intensity.
    9. After curing, remove the film and excess resin. Clean the glass with an alcohol-based cleaner or cloth.
